Consultation

The proposed bus, taxis and cycle lanes come as a result of the continuous improvements being made to public transport in The Borough of Milton Keynes and will ensure equality for all users, encourage modal shift to more sustainable modes of transport, maintain economic vitality and reduce carbon emissions, all in line with the aims and objectives of The Borough of Milton Keynes Transport Strategy

The Council considers it expedient to make this Order to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular traffic along the affected lengths of roads.

All signs on site will be in accordance with the current and any future version of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.

The Council will continue to monitor the way in which highway facilities are used and address any issues that come to its notice and following meaningful consultation with all stakeholders do what it considers necessary to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
