Milton Keynes City Council intends to make the following named traffic regulation Order under Sections 84(1), (2), (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: 

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026 

The general effect of the above proposed Order will be: 

  • To revoke the current Order entitled “Milton Keynes City Council (Various Roads, Haversham) (50 mph Speed Restriction) Order 2024” and consolidate the 50mph speed restrictions along parts of Bullington End Road and Wolverton Road (Castlethorpe), Park Road (Hanslope and Hanslope Park) and the unnamed road that links Tatthall End and Haversham;
  • To revoke the existing 40mph speed limit on the unnamed road that links High Street and Wolverton Road, Haversham – this part of the unnamed road will become 30mph by virtue of street lighting;
  • To introduce 40mph speed restrictions along parts of Haversham Road (Haversham), Park Road and Newport Road (Hanslope, Hanslope Park and Tathall End), the unnamed road that links Tathall End and Hanslope Park and the unnamed road that links Tathall End and Gayhurst.

The Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the proposed Order. Any comments or objections to the above proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes MK9 3EJ, or by email to TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk quoting reference TRO-472.
