The Gambling Act 2005 provides the regime for licensing and regulation of commercial gambling in the UK

The Council has a Policy document that sets out our approach and interpretation of the laws and guidance in respect of Gambling permissions that fall to us as the Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005.  Our Statement of Principles can be found here:  Gambling Licensing Policy 2025 - 2028.

Gambling Act Applications

Please note that all permit applications (excluding notification for two or less machines in alcohol licensed premises) must be accompanied with a scaled plan marking entrances and exits, location of bar, amusement with prizes machines and ATMs.
