Drainage Schemes 2026-2027

Each year, we review reports of repeated flooding affecting properties and gardens to identify priority areas.

Our engineers then assess these locations to determine what work is needed to reduce future flooding. This includes checking that the highway drainage system is in good condition and free from blockages such as silt build-up or tree roots. Road gullies help carry excess rainwater from the highway into the main drainage system.

Flooding causes are investigated by the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) within the council, and we work closely with their team to address these issues.

The following locations have been identified as urgently requiring works to repair or improve the carrier drainage system.

  • Hospital Roundabout (H8)
