Sheltered Housing Consultation

Share your views on the future of our Sheltered Housing service

What's it all about?

Milton Keynes City Council owns over 10,600 rented properties which include 800 homes for older people, otherwise known as Sheltered Housing.

The last time we reviewed our sheltered housing service was 2017. It is important that we update the services we provide and where necessary make changes to reflect what customers want, new regulatory standards such as Consumer Standards, whilst ensuring value for money.

How to take part?

We would like you to consider three options relating to the future of the sheltered housing officer service.
Let us know which one you prefer.

Part Two: Options and Costs (9 December – 5 January )

We have reviewed all your responses from the first part of the consultation and have three options for you to consider about the future of the sheltered housing officer service.

Part One: Initial Feedback Report

Thank you if you were one of the hundreds of sheltered housing tenants who recently joined us at one of our 17 face-to-face sessions or if you responded to our online survey about the future of the sheltered housing service.  The consultation process for our sheltered housing service highlighted the importance of security, support, community, affordability, and maintenance. Here is the full report
