You don't have to be a library member to visit our libraries but if you'd like to borrow books or other resources you will need to join the library.

We provide services to help adults and children with individual needs, from physical and learning disabilities, special circumstances (like those who are housebound) and people whose first language is not English.

Anyone can become a member of the Milton Keynes City Council libraries whether living in the borough or not. There is no age limit and registration is free. Join at any library and your card is valid at all of our libraries.

We offer a virtual library for both library members and non-members with a number of online services which can be accessed either at the libraries or on your own devices.

If you find it difficult to visit the library, then let the library come to you with the home library service.

Reading Well books support you to understand and manage your health and wellbeing using helpful reading.

Libraries Xtra opening hours are available for customers to take advantage of our flexible service which allows them to use selected libraries outside of staffed hours.
