Changes to parking tariff from 31st March
From 31st March, parking tariff charges in MK city centre will change for the first time in nearly a decade. Find out what’s changing at Where to park | Milton Keynes City Council
These are the parking tariff charges for Milton Keynes city centre:
Central Milton Keynes has over 20,000 parking spaces. The different types are colour coded to help you find a space. You can download a map for CMK parking areas here.
If you have been unable to use your parking session e.g., if the car park was full or the purchased parking session was no longer being required, a refund request can be made however, this must be made prior to the parking session starting, or at the time of attempting to park.
Requests made after this time will not be considered as it is not possible to determine whether the parking facility was used or not.
You can make a request by email to mkparking@milton-keynes.gov.uk including your session details i.e., date and time of the session, your Vehicle Registration number and how the session was booked (RingGo, Website, Parking Terminal, etc).
RingGo lets you pay for your parking without coins, you just need a payment card and a phone or pc.
There is an optional text alert reminder on this app (small fee applicable), which you may switch off if you prefer.
You can register for RingGo on the sign-up page or when you want to park. The details to make payment can be found on the pay and display machines.
For enquiries go to their help page.
Motorcyclists can park for free in all dedicated motorcycle bays and pay and display parking bays, although they are still expected to abide by all other restrictions, like only parking within marked bays. We also ask motorcyclists to please leave room for more than one motorbike in a single bay. Motorcycles are not allowed to park on yellow lines or in resident or disabled bays.
Motorhomes are allowed to park across several parking spaces as long as payment has been made for all spaces taken (separate parking tickets should be purchased for each space used). The vehicle should be parked within the outer bay markings and not overhang into the roadway.
There are several privately owned and operated car parks in Milton Keynes. MK City Council has no control of these car parks. However, we do try to work with the owners to ensure a common approach to security, pricing and enforcement. There should be signs in the parking area giving details of the owner or manager.
