This includes public register of Initial Notices, work completed by Competent Persons Schemes and planning application - Planning are separate departments.

Site address - the address the work relates to.
Reference Numbers
Building control reference numbers (*****) are unique to each application but may also relate to applications handled by other bodies, such as Registered Building Control Approvers (RBCA), formerly Approved Inspectors (AI), or Competent Person Schemes. The suffix indicates the type of application.

Documents Copy
Building Control documents may be available for viewing for any applications referred to on the online portal or those revealed in a CON29 search. Please note some physical file, containing copies of documents, will have been destroyed in accordance with our retention policy.
Historical Property Search
If you want us to reveal building control applications which are not indicated on a local search (i.e. anything before August 1997) then you will need to request a historical property search for Building Regulations. There is a fee for this service.
