Consultation
Milton Keynes City Council intends to make the following named traffic regulation Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and 63 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
1) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes (On-Street Premium Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020) Variation Order 2026
2) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes (On-Street Specific and Permit Parking Places) Order 2002) Variation Order 2026
3) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes (On-Street Standard Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020) Revocation Order (Part) 2026
The general effect of the proposed Order will be to alter the parking arrangements on part of Grafton Gate (east side), between North Row and Silbury Boulevard, by replacing the standard tariff parking with premium tariff parking.
The alterations will help improve turn-over of spaces for the local businesses and their customers, which are currently full between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The introduction of the premium tariff parking will ensure turn-over of spaces in the prime spaces adjacent to the local businesses.
