A street party or local event is a non-commercial event organised by residents for residents and neighbours only. These are only permitted to take place on residential streets and not through roads so they do not affect the wider road network.

Before carrying out any work on the highway, you must apply for a permit and have approval from the Streetworks team.

Any business that wants to place tables, chairs or other temporary furniture onto the highway (footways/pavement/verge) will need to apply first for a Table and Chairs Licence.

If you want to place a skip on the public highway you will need to apply for permission first.
