MyCouncil Tax Online
MyCouncil Tax Online is the quickest and easiest way to manage your Council Tax account. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once you have signed in, you can:
- view and download your Council Tax bills and recovery notices
- check your current balance and payment history
- view your active Council Tax Reduction award
- update your contact details
- set up a special payment arrangement if you have received a reminder, summons or liability order
To access these services, you must register for a MyCouncil Tax Online account.

If you do not have a MyCouncil Tax Online account, you can still use a range of online services to:
- set up, change or cancel a Direct Debit
- tell us you have moved home
- apply for or change a discount, reduction or exemption
- check your Council Tax band

Paperless billing
While managing your account online, you can choose to receive your Council Tax bills electronically.
Paperless billing is secure, convenient and helps reduce printing and postage costs, allowing us to continue investing in essential services.
To view your bills online, you must register for a MyCouncil Tax Online account.
Please note that once you choose paperless billing, paper bills will no longer be issued.
How do I sign in or register for an online account?
You can sign in or register for MyCouncil Tax Online by selecting Sign in or Sign Up.
Please note that MyCouncil Tax Online is a separate service from MyCouncil.
To register, you must already have a Council Tax account with Milton Keynes City Council. If you have recently moved into the area or have not yet registered for Council Tax, you will need to report your change of address online before you can register for MyCouncil Tax Online. To complete your registration, you will need:
- The online reference key shown on your most recent Council Tax bill or recovery notice.
