The 2026-27 annual Council Tax bills will be sent out on 06 March 2026, with deliveries continuing throughout the week starting 09 March. If you haven't received your bill yet, please allow some time for delivery. If you have signed up for E-billing, your bill will be sent electronically, and you must have an online account to view it. Note that your annual bill will not reflect any changes made to your account after 20 February.

If you still need to speak to us, call Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between 9am and 5pm. We prioritise processing applications at other times.

Struggling to pay

What to do if you are struggling to pay your Council Tax and how we can help you.

To reduce the amount we spend on paper and postage, we will now contact our residents by text and email. If you receive a call or a message from Milton Keynes City Council because you are late paying your council tax please be assured that the message is genuine but if you are concerned you can log into your online account to check your Council Tax account and make payment. There is no need to contact us if you have recently paid and your account is up-to-date.
