If you have ever served in the Armed Forces, let your GP know using the code in our leaflet.  You may be entitled to additional health benefits. Ask them if they are an Armed Forces veteran friendly GP practice or look for this logo.

To date we have trained local GPs and practice staff and 24 out of 26 practices in MK have now signed up for accreditation. 

Mental health support

  • Op COURAGE - specialist mental health support for serving personnel approaching discharge, veterans, and their families. Support is available whether you left the Armed Forces recently or many years ago.

  • P3 Charity Milton Keynes - People, Potential, Possibilities.  A variety of help and services are on offer, helping you to feel part of the local community.
  • Local Armed Forces Community, free drop-ins 2026 - a safe, central space where the forces community can connect, access free advice and link up with local services. Travel assistance available on request.
  • Royal British Legion - local services and support. Free helpline Tel: 0808 802 8080 (8am to 8pm daily).

  • Aurora New Dawn - confidential, independent, free support for serving personnel, veterans and family members affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence or stalking. Available via phone and WhatsApp, including for those deployed overseas. Find out more about service details here.

  • Fighting with Pride - we are proud to have been awarded the Pride in Veterans award for the support given to LGBT+ veterans.
